Through its Arts Initiative, Virginia Tech is making substantial investments to enhance the presence and practice of the arts in our community.

School of Performing Arts & Cinema at Virginia Tech- Provides a broad spectrum of public performance opportunities for the university and New River Valley communities. Ranging from opera and musical theater, through instrumental and choral ensembles, to theater productions in mainstage and studio formats, these events contribute significantly to the cultural life of the university and local community. XYZ Gallery - Is a student-run art gallery in Blacksburg showcasing art, architecture, and design.  It usually hosts bi-monthly exhibitions, as well as live music events.

Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center - The museum, located in Christiansburg, provides art shows spotlighting local artists.  Its permanent art collection includes works and prints by well known artists with local ties, such as Lewis Miller and Walter Biggs.  The museum spotlights the works or local artist

Blacksburg Regional Art Association - Provides information on special exhibitions throughout the region.

Taubman Museum of Art (Roanoke, VA) - The Museum's permanent collection focuses on American art, with an emphasis on the artistic expressions of the Western Virginia and the Appalachian region.

Floyd Country Store (Floyd County) - Hosts a Friday Night Jamboree that brings people each week to dance and enjoy gospel, old-time, and bluegrass music.
