The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business association of over 1,100 Montgomery County-Blacksburg-Christiansburg based businesses. The Chamber hosts numerous events for its members throughout the year, including its monthly "Business after Hours" networking mixers.

The NewVa Corridor Technology Council (NCTC) is a non-profit member-driven association of businesses and organizations in the greater NewVa Region (encompassing Roanoke and Blacksburg, VA), working together to promote the growth and success of the region's technology sector. Its membership includes more than 200 organizations from the smallest, emerging technology firms to some of the largest employers in the region. The NCTC is building a technology community that is a catalyst for innovation, inspiration, success, and leadership within our region.
NCTC host numerous events a year for its members, including:
- Technology & Toast - A monthly meeting of NCTC members. It's an opportunity to meet other regional technology leaders to exchange ideas and information to help grow your business!
- TechNite Awards Banquet - An annual celebration of the NewVa region’s technology community. The evening is highlighted with an awards ceremony, where leaders will be recognized in five categories: Rising Star, Entrepreneur, NewVa Leadership, Innovation, and Educator.
- Fall Membership Gala - An annual celebration of NewVA region's technology community providing the opportunity to network with more than 300 leaders in business and innovation.
- Demo Day & Tech Expo - This event is a “show and tell” for tech companies in the NewVa region.
- Peer Forums - NCTC Peer Forums provide a venue for information exchange and relationship development, which strengthen the local technology industry.
